ACSD - Allied Climbers of San Diego

As you know, I am now located in New York City, however I originate from San Diego, California. From the time I was just a wee little thing, hiking mountains from my backpack seat aloft my dad's shoulders, I've enjoyed San Diego's, and surrounding areas, natural playgrounds. Places like Valley of the Moon, the Santee Boulders, and Joshua Tree ring in as my second home.

As these local places, and others not so local throughout the state of California, are susceptible to and threatened by closure, and naturalists, hikers, climbers, normal people like you and I are denied access to responsibly enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer, non-profit organizations like ACSD (Allied Climbers of San Diego) fight for our right to get out of the city and enjoy some fresh air and exercise.

If you have ever gone camping, hiked a trail, meditated on a rock in total and complete silence, or enjoyed a desert sunset and cacti spines in your socks I urge you to educate yourself on our public access rights and movements at the ACSD website here, or by clicking on the ACSD banner below.

We have limited open spaces and undeveloped land as it is, each time a piece of this is up for closure we are losing our right to enjoy nature. If all of our publicly owned land is denied access to the public, where will we camp? Where will we hike? Where will we walk our dogs? Enjoy outdoor picnic's? Observe furry ants and prickly pines upclose?!?

For a small $15 dollar donation, you can help keep these incredible places open for you, your family, your nieces and nephews, your kids, your friends kids, and hundreds of others that desperately need to GET OUT OF THE CITY!!!

If you aren't a California resident or native, look into national or local access organizations!
